Kasambya Residents Sensitized On Small Claims Procedure
On Wednesday February28, 2024, a team from the Small Claims Procedure Registry sensitized the public about the Small Claims Procedure at Kasambya Market, Kasambya County, Mubende District.
The baraza that targeted small commercial businesses was organized by the Mubende Chief Magistrate, HW Carol Kabugho together with stakeholders from Mubende and and Kasambya who included the area Member of Parliament Hon. David Kabanda.
During the engagement, the Assistant Registrar in-charge of Small Claims Procedure, HW Mastula Mulondo, highlighted on the Procedure and encouraged them especially the business community to embrace it if they intend to recover their money shortly.
The Resident District Commissioner, Mr. Lule Umar Mawiya noted that whereas the programme is not new, the sensitization will be beneficial to the people of Kasambya. "You have relieved us of people who have treated the office of the president as court".
In bid to make the initiative and other processes known to the public, he pledged to keep offering radio airtime for more sensitization of residents.
